Wollastonite is a typical metamorphic mineral, mainly produced in the contact zone between acid rock and limestone, and also found in deep metamorphic calcareous crystalline schist, volcanic exudates and some alkaline rocks. Its chemical molecular formula is CaSiO 3 , structural formula Ca₃ [Si₃O₉ ], theoretical chemical composition: CaO 48.25%, SiO₂51.75%.
